It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed and disheartened these days, especially when you watch the news or scroll through Facebook and see so much negativity and divisiveness. You may start questioning everything that you thought you knew about the inherent kindness in people and wonder what had happened to the light-filled and loving universe you thought you lived in.
So many of us have been feeling this way. And I’m happy to share that I know without a doubt that goodness still abounds and many people are doing amazing things to help others in communities all across the world. And I have proof, too! This inspiring book is filled with over 450 pages of positive, loving energy, and we know that it’s going to be so uplifting for so many. The stories include receiving kindness from loving family, friends, teachers, co-workers, kids, pets, and perfect strangers. This book includes moments of everyday goodness plus stories of goodness from beyond. All of the stories are intended to uplift, inspire, and remind you of just how good people truly are and how much more alike we are than we may have thought.
This beautiful book full of stories with Loving Kindness is the best keeper for my story honoring my grandmother and my mother.
The Power is in You
I had a very short time with my grandmother. She was an inseparable part of my childhood. She is the face of unconditional love that my inner child holds on to even today. I still remember her face, her wrinkled hands and her indulgent smile.
There are small moments in our every day lives that become embedded in memory as a touchstone. They are unexpected but they reach a place within you and stay there. They often come from people who see you, really truly SEE you even when you feel dis-empowered. And who better than a mother to see the light in her child and help her see it too?
My story is a tribute to both my grandmother and my mother for giving me these moments that are etched in me keeping me on track. And like the compass, always pointing to my true north, my true self that is powerful and loved.
